The Commercial Boer Bucks (CBB) being sold at Php 15,000 per head for the above one year old CBBs are fast going. We are down to the last 14 heads with buyers from Ouezon, Nueva Ecija, Bicol, Laguna and Batangas snapping the CBBs.
After this the young CBB will be next on the line to be offered for sale at Php 12,000 pesos. The young CBB are aged below one year old. | |

Alaminos Goat Farm announces the availability of Commercial Boer Bucks (CBB) at very affordable prices. Young CBB below 1 year old are priced at Php 12,000 pesos and mature CBB above 1 year old are available at Php 15,000 pesos. In deciding the pricing scheme carefull consideration were made for the sustainability of the prices in the long term.
It jump start our marketing campaign in creating awareness in the importance of using a purebred Boer Buck to upgrade the native herd. The Boer Bucks would bring its meatiness, its size and fast growing characteristic to the slaughter goats produced. The CBB would be a key factor to produce goats for slaughter to attain the 30 kilos goat meat standard slaughter weight at 12 months old.
What is a Commercial Boer Bucks (CBB) that AGF is offering for sale?
· Purebred Boer buck
· After taking out the top 15 % Boer bucks as stud breeder bucks, the remaining Boer bucks are classified as commercial boer bucks. The bottom 20% are taken out as slaughter goats.
· CBB have the same bloodline as our stud Boer bucks, but their growth rate performance and physical appearance are average compared to the outstanding performance of the top 15 % Boer stud bucks.
· As a terminal buck in the production of commercial slaughter goats it will serve its purpose as it will have the advantage of heterosis when you breed them with the native herd or upgraded goats.
· Price were made lower to make it with in reach to more farmers, local government units, state colleges and universities and NGOs.
The first time we joined the Agri Link Show in 2007 we made a commitment that in two to three years time we will bring down the price of the Commercial Boer Bucks to affordable level to make the Boer Buck available to more goat raisers. This is the fulfillment of that commitment we made in that October 2007 seminar at the Agri Link Show at the World Trade Center.
This is part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, as our way of sharing the blessings that we continue to receive. Our situation does not permit us to give away free breeder goats which we feel is not sustainable. We continue to pursue our advocacy that goat farming is a good livelihood option by creating awareness. Visitors are welcome to come to our farm and see our working goat farm. We openly share our experiences in a sustainable and profitable goat farm operation.
